Is There Such A Thing?

okay, Is there a such thing as a dom pied TCB?

I am 85% Sure that I have one that just fledged?

I will be taking a photo today and will post it ...

Yes it certainly is possible Neat, the problem is if it has White flight feathers it’s difficult to tell if it’s a TCB. You would only be able to tell from the colour of its breast & that can vary. A photo would be good.

I have a pied TCB. Actually, the fact that she is pied is the reason I got her from the breeder, cause she cant be shown under TCB class with another mutation. She is a VERY pretty bird, I personally think she is prettier than the other TCB hen I have. I am not sure if she is dom pied or recessive though.........I just know that cause her flights are clear she is pied. Here are a couple of pics. While we're on the topic can any of the experts out there tell me what I might need to breed more like her?

I am sure she is a Green Opaline Dom Pied TCB ....

( personally I think she is UGLY!!!!! lol )

I'm certainly no expert, but I was under the impression that Dom Pieds had a V shape on their backs? Or is that not the case with all Dom Pieds?

Nope no red eyes ... That is due to the flash ....... These eyes are black mate ......

Opalines ( good marked ones ) have the V lucy ......

You wont see red eyes on a recessive chick Neat. If you look really hard you may see plum, but I am positive your baby is a recessive pied.

Agree also with the Pied. It could also be one of the badly marked Dom pieds. I have one who's not got clearflights even though all it's brothers and sisters have aswell as it's mum.

I agree with Kaz & Liv, Neat it’s not a TCB…it’s a Recessive Pied…can’t see any Opaline in it either, could have Yellow Face2 Blue, what were it’s parents?

You could try it with an Albion cock, but to get Opalines like it, it would have to be masking or split Opaline.

Like Kaz says Neat the small spot is most likely Recessive & the TCB must be split Recessive also

there is no reduced clour in the flight feathers that have black on them (which is what is aimed for in TCB) a picture of dad will help as this one does look like a recessive pied.

This is a sign of Opalines not Dom pieds.

One of the main ways to identify a Texas clearbody is to see whether it has a clear body. That baby doesn't. It is a recessive pied, with some sort of dark factor
