Posted June 23, 200817 yr I just went outside to give the dog her supper and it's pitch black and raining (the dog was unimpressed with being put out for dinner) and the birds were out there in the dark chatting away like it was the middle of the day! Crazy birds
June 23, 200817 yr Moon light through the clouds? or a back light? makes mine go off, or maybe the rain is keeping them up haha
June 23, 200817 yr I find that if something startles one or sets it off, it starts everyone else off like a chain reaction. And they don't stop until you tell them to shush. When no one is singing then noone else is getting set off. It seems to only take one budgie to chirp and then the next to chirp and they all join in because everyone else is doing it. Well.. I've trained my budgies to go quiet when I shush them.
June 23, 200817 yr Author No light at all Libby, it's pouring here and so dark I can't even see the aviary at the back of the yard. Maybe they are just marveling at this wonderful precipitation that is so rare
June 23, 200817 yr Budgies get excited about the rain. It doesnt matter what time of day or night ....if it starts to rain, my budgies get excited about it and the chatter starts. Pressing themselves against the wire trying to get wet as well.
