Unbelievable!

hello everyone,

i first joined this forum yesturday and have now had time to look through all the fantastic photos of all of your families.....i cant believe it....i didnt know how many varieties of budgies there were. my knowledge of the budgie world is VERY limited hehe!!!! I had two budgies, a blue one (have absolutely no idea what kind  ) called riley who passed away on sunday which was the reason for my first post yesturday, and my beautiful matilda who is green/yellow. i got them when they were 5 weeks old and matilda will be 5 years in november.i cant believe how big some of the budgies are in your photos...matilda is tiny compared to some of them. one question i would like to ask anyone is that when matilda came into her adult feathers her belly grew bright green feathers which gradually faded to white and then disappeardall together.her belly has now only scattered feathers so you can see large patches of pink skin. she has been to the vet many a times and although she is very healthy the vet has put i down to feather malformation?????? all her other feathers such as on her back and wings are perfect its just her belly....when it first occurred i thought she may have been pulling them out but this wasnt the case...other than this she is in perfect health other than being a bit sad at the moment due to the loss of her partner.i have been trying to upload a photo of her but they not workin must be too big..anyway im lookn forward to being a member of your budgie community and veiwing photos of all your budgies bye for now.....

Hmmm. The feather loss could be due to French Moult or Viral plumage disease but a vet should have ruled these out  ???

A photo will help greatly

You'll need to start up an account with photobucket. As the only way to post pictures on this forum is by having them on hte internet. There is a link to the instructions under the moderator's signatures

thanks..... ^_^ i will investigate..

1. Join Photobucket. Fill out what is needed and upload your pictures by logging into your account. It is a very safe and user friendly program.

2. SIZE is a big issue with photos so remember to adjust this before begining. In the upload box it has "reduce to". Here you select the size you want your photos to be. Due to the new size allowance, selection and uploading is now a lot easier. Simply select the size as 640 x 480 pixels (large). This means once they are in photobucket you can post them directly into our forum.

3. To choose the photos you wish to use, click on choose files, and you will be directed to your computer files. Select the files you want to download and click open. The files will automatically start uploading to photobucket. If you have a lot to upload at once, you can use the bulk uploader. This link is found just below the the normal uploader.

4. Once your photos are uploaded Photobucket, scroll down until you see them and click edit. This will take you to the new edit features. In here, you can crop, change colours and do almost anything to your photo. The most important feature is the RESIZE. If you forgot to set the correct image size before uploading, you can do it here. Click on this button and enter your dimensions. Remember to tick the 'keep proportions' box so your photo wont be warped. If your photo is rectangular, like most regular ones, just make sure that the longest side is 640 pixels and the other one will automatically be smaller. Click save and either overwrite existing image or save another copy.

5. To go back to the main photobucket screen, click on "albums & uploads" (top left hand corner)

6. Now comes the fun part... adding a photo to your post. Go back to the forum making sure you keep your photobucket page open. Either start a new topic, or reply to one. When you want to add a picture, simply scroll down to the picture you want to add and click on the IMG code. This will copy it. Then go back to your post and paste it there (either ctrl v, or right click and paste). When you preview your topic or post it, your photo should come up and be the correct size.
