Posted June 16, 200816 yr A sky blue cinnamon cock, almost ready to go into the breeding cage. This lacewing is still a bit young and not quit threw it's moult. This normal green is ready but I don't have a suitable partner at the moment, a hen with a deep mask would be nice. This one would be good for the green normal, but she's not ready!
June 16, 200816 yr nice, could you tell me what that last one colour is its real nice Edited June 17, 200816 yr by KAZ
June 16, 200816 yr The last is a Grey green cinnamon hen. The cinnamon effects the body colour by fading it a few shades. That's why she looks a nice mustard colour.
June 17, 200816 yr My BRASEA boy is just about ready to go in. Maybe to this hen. Now get ready for the AAAAAARRRRRR She's pretty!! You have to have some pretty budgies, this one my daughters favorite. She is paired to a large Grey normal cock bird. With plenty of spot and width of head. A blue/violet yellow face T2 opaline crest bred spangle! What a mouthful!! Edited June 17, 200816 yr by throwback
June 17, 200816 yr Oh yes, she is VERY pretty. I dont have any of those aqua coloured (sea foam???) budgies at all in my aviary, I am keeping my eyes open!
June 19, 200816 yr Beautiful birds. The greygreen cinnamon is my favorite, she is a real nice hen. She would be mine too if she would hurry up and get into condition. The clocks ticking!!
June 21, 200816 yr Some more new arrivals from St George sale night. Normal greens, some grey greens, and some dom pieds. Well worth the trip!
June 21, 200816 yr Some nice birds Throwback, you should be able to do something with that lot. Best of luck.
June 22, 200816 yr They are all beautiful birds.I was going to go to the st george sale but i was worried they would all be out of my price range could i ask you what the average prices were? Also what do you do with all of your babies? Do you have a certain breeder you sell them too?

Also what do you do with all of your babies? Do you have a certain breeder you sell them too? The budgies were very, very well priced. The general range was $20- $50 some very nice young birds at great prices. There were some more expensive stuff but nothing over $100. I was glad we made the 250km round trip. As far as selling? Haven't thought that far yet. Will cull at the end of the year.
June 22, 200816 yr Lovely birds throwback.......I just went to an auction here in Adelaide yesterday and got just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle bit carried away
June 22, 200816 yr I should point out that I don't go and buy budgies willy-nilly! They have to be related in some way to birds I have, Like these two cocks are from the same breeder. As are these two. And these
June 26, 200816 yr nice looking birds :hap:, Merlin takes pictures like that when I take them straight you can't see his eyes either :hap:
June 26, 200816 yr they're beautiful! I wish I had english budgies but they're impossible to find around here!!
June 26, 200816 yr they're beautiful! I wish I had english budgies but they're impossible to find around here!! Luckily heavy importation in the 90's means that over 80%of birds here are English. But as imports have been closed for some time now due to the avian flue amongst other things. It's been up to the Aussie breeders to keep up the standard. Whether this is sustainable or not in the future without fresh English blood to work with is yet to be seen. Edited June 27, 200816 yr by KAZ
June 26, 200816 yr I know the British are good TB but surely we can keep up the standard or even improve it. I don't like everything that I see in some of the British birds anyway.
