Piccies Of My Indoor Fids

Featured Replies

I just thought I would show off some new piccies of Saffy and Morris. They were out in the kitchen keeping me company while I did my dishes and after the dishes, I pulled out Saffy's favourite "swimming pool" and offered her a bath. She dived right in as always, but Morris wasnt so keen to participate in the bathing part of things, so he just flew to the top of the pantry door to observe. So Saff had her bath, then flew up to join Morris and finish her preening and he looked less than impressed with that "wet birdie" smell!

Excellent Pictures , I so wanted a sun conure too but I really read up on them and I think the noise factor for us now would not be welcomed :o, but if you are ready for it absolutely, they are such beautiful birds which makes them so attractive as a pet.

They are definitely noisey. I wouldnt actually recommend them to anyone who didnt have lots of love and attention and who cant switch off from their screeching. But, on the other hand, if you can deal with the noise, they are certainly an affectionate, beautiful bird, with lots of weird quirks lol. Morris screams for attention, or when I have visitors, or at meal times, cause he likes to share and that doesnt happen very often. If that is the case, I usually cover him, which still doesnt work all the time, but my friends realise........love me, love my birds!

LOL yes well thats the reason we are staying away from galahs, corellas and sulphies, one big noise maker for us is enough. It's bad enough that my quaker does her impression of the sun as well!

Very cute pics there and absolutely gorgeous birds. Thanks for sharing.

Wow............that was 3 weeks ago and you bringing up this post just makes me realise how far Morris has come with his training and trust in just those 3 weeks. Three weeks ago, he was still unsure when he wanted to come out of his cage, he would still fly off more often than not when asked to step up, his cage was his safety net. Now I have to push him off my head cause Im training him to settle on my shoulder, he lets me stroke him and cuddle him, and tonight he has started to flying to my hand with no treat to entice him and he took his first scary steps onto my computer desk to snatch a banana chip lol. Saffy, well Saff isnt scared of anything lol.
