first picture changed to link, it was over the size limit of 640X480

Yes I agree with Libby, that’s what I was thinking that it looks like a Grey wing. Maybe Mum is Greywing & Dad must be split for it. I think Mum looks like an Opaline Greywing Grey Green.

grey green graywing - just like mom but with out the opline.

in the second picture you can just make out the start of a black tail which is a sign of grey-green if the chick was dark green it would be navy.

also in the last picture the cere looks to be male to me.

Hmm, looks like a cinnamon greygreen on my computer screen.

I agree that he is a greygreen greywing..

DrNat - cinnamon is also a choice, what would you call the mother? she would have to be a Cinnamon and not greywing for that chick to be one.

For the record I have no cinnamons in my aviary, I am new to budgies, but I was told by a man who has been breeding for years and years that the mom is a greygreen opaline. He never even mentioned the greywing, but I myself have wondered if she is a greywing as well, I have a violet greywing hen but like I said being new I am uncertain still. It is possible that Mr.Davis overlooked the greywing in the mom as he is an older gentlemen and I was constantly throwing the questions out there at him...LOL. If more pics are needed please just let me know. Thanks to all for the help. SueAnn

personally I would state greywing, i just know with computer screens can change the colour somewhat making brown look more grey. They fact you don' t have any visual cinnamons in your flock helps (but if you don' t know the history of all your birds some males may be carrying it)

Cinnamon Greywing Hen ......

( Just learnt about this breed )
