Hi it's me again (sorry I'm the hugest pest in the world)

well its about Sky her problem with runny poops is cured by time and now her poops are normal they stick to her vent area can anyone tell me how I can stop that from happining?

please I just want whats gonna make her happy.

I’m sorry to say if they are sticking to the feathers in the vent area that still means that they are not normal. In a healthy Budgie the poops shouldn’t stick to the feathers.

has she been wormed in the last 12 weeks??

i havent had her two weeks yet so i dont know?

She could do with a worm then - It wont cause any harm even if she doesn't have any worms.

Are you able to take a photo of her poop and her vent???

okay but you wont mind?

and second how do i get the worming stuff can you buy it from stores or do you get it off the vet

All good pet shops will have bird wormer :D it is about $20 a bottle.

I don't mind looking at poopy bottoms lol.

I was thinking in the shower that she might still be stressed from moving - If her poops have improved greatly, but are still not perfect yet, she might still be recovering from the stress of moving.

Pictures will help :(

I am heading out until around lunch time, - i'll be back B)

Hope others will be able to assist you in the mean time :D

Did she have a period of not eating when you first got her? She would have had green runny poops if she did.

Coccidiosis?

I have a hen who is a real stress case too. she flipped out for 2 weeks until i caved and put her in an aviary all to her self, even still she was quite stressed until she joined the main flock.

Personally I would put your hens poops down to recovering from stress. I find it takes a good week or so for the poops to turn completely normal after a major stress incident and not eating.

I'd give her some wormer, wait a few more days, if the poops are still sticking (or not improving at least) it would be a good idea to take her to the vet, who will test the poop for other causes.

If you see any other signs of illness (fluffed, blood in poop, decrease in activity etc.) then she will need to go to the vet sooner.

hope this helps :) keep us posted ^_^

she active enough and ive ordered wormer from my store they didnt have any in so she odered it and she eats, churps, jumps about. I havent had her two weeks yet

Heya, Ihad this problem to. I was advised ( from here ) to give the bum a clean to get rid of old stains ..

I stopped the green veggies and leaves too and left on a carrot and Corn veggie diet as well as seeds, the stain wash washed and cleared some of it off but most was stained so i trimed some featheres and she is fine now..... No stains and etc ..... However , if you have concerns consult a vet as it could be what Drnat said which means you mave have to give it a sulphar ( sp) treat meant ... This offerens occures during a long periods ( 5 days ) of rain or heat .....
