Curry and Laila....paired up a couple of years ago, and keep finding their way back to each other. I let them have another clutch recently and now they have 5 babies. Brilliant parents and a pair that are pretty devoted to each other.

Here is Curry March747.jpg

and Laila man070x.jpg old photo...ignore nestbox and location.

Photos of the chicks soon. They have produced their usual combination....a couple of recessive pied spangles, a lutino, a normal green, and a green spangle. All healthy.

No...always yellowgreens. Curry isnt split to blue. But he is split ino.....and always get recessives from them too.

Four out of the nestbox...seen here in the baby budgie huddle

DSCF1119.jpg

in the nestbox is the lutino chick and the foster chick.

Nice clean looking chicks Kaz, I noticed one of my chicks at about the same size just about leaving the nest, had a massive crop, about twice normal size, it seemed very soft. I thought it looks like it might be sour crop or something & I would loose it, but the next day it was back to normal. Maybe it was just trapped air.

I like that last picture of the Pied “Sleeping on the job” or “ I wish Kaz would hurry up with that photo so I can get back to sleep” if I was Elly I would say you should enter that in the Budgie of the month…but I guess mods can’t.

Awww Kaz, they are so cute and I love their colours. I agree with Norm on two points... that last photo is so cute AND you should enter it in Budgie of the month (if you're not judging it) :hap:

Mods can enter, we have pre-selected judges so everyone gets a fair chance :hap:

Gorgeous Kaz!!! i want them :hap:
