I am cataloging my birds so I know exactly what their visual mutations are and I would like confirmation or refutation on my thoughts.

If I am totally off I am very happy to be corrected as I am going to be doing serious breeding come this breeding season.

Edited by bird crazy.

6 & 7 add Full Body to the Graywing since the body color is full strength in color

10 & 11 & 12 look like opalines too but I am not 100% sure

16 & 17 looks like it is carrying the violet gene

they are all beautiful, some of them you have colors other you don't did you want the color too?

With that little spot on the back of his head 13 is likely to be split for recessive pied

10, 11 & 12 forgot to type in opaline - fixed now.

16 & 17 don't know, but 12 & 17 are 16's parents.

I would go with violet for sure on both the birds 17 & 16

I would say yes if they eyes were regular with an iris ring yes, but I have yet to see a white opaline cinammon all I have seen have been lacewing at least here on the site

I totally agree with violet as Elly has said.

ALSO...please wrap this one for travel with Daz to my place

Thanks Elly, I have a yellow cinnamon opaline which is probably why I was confused.

You got no chance Kaz! That's Turbo, I was given her along with mum's peachface to handraise back in September and she has the most beautiful personality of any of my birds (including Boris). She loves to play with her humans but doesn't want to live with us. I was playing with her in the aviary on Sunday (after she almost crawled over my shoulder and out the door!) and I put her on her back tickling her belly then removed my hand and she just lay on her back in my hand looking at me. She has never bitten me or anyone else.

I agree with all your colours Karen & agree with DrNat that 13 is probably split for Recessive Pied. Beautiful birds & the pictures are great too.

MB number two is Opaline Lacewing White [Opaline wing pattern] whereas as number one is Lacewing Yellow Normal [normal wing pattern] it would be good to see a picture of your Cinnamon Opaline Yellow. I think I may have seen a Cinnamon Yellow with black eyes, but mostly they are either Lacewing or Fallow, which both have red eyes.

Here she is, I hope I'm right, there is a strong chance I could be completely off! :hap:

Could she be a cinnamon texas clearbody ?

If you would like an experts opinion I can send the photos to a judge and ask him.

.......the judge has spoken. It is an opaline cinnamon grey green due to the flights. If it were a TCB its flights would vary going lighter in some areas.

Are you sure about grey green? She is very strongly yellow in real life, I have a grey greens and she is definately different to them.

she's clearly grey green, look at her throat spots :hap:

Cinnamon changes everything...it dilutes the grey green back to a mustard yellow.

Quote from the judge Opaline Grey Green. You can see its a Opaline Grey Green and nothing else as the wing flights give it a away as they are cinnamon dark brown. Texas Clear bodies have a very lighting affect on the wing flights and are browny grey and also no striation over the the head as typical in the normal variety.

3 looks like a normal albino ( sometimes wing markings appear through)

6. the greywing, looks like he could be carrying opaline.

I agree that 16 and 17 are violets or at least carrying it. because they look very violet in those pictures

if they have wing marking and they are brown but light they would still be a lacewing because that is caused from the cinnamon gene not the albino (which erases markings), what makes you think 6 is an opaline? His head markings are normal? :hap:
