Posted April 28, 200817 yr  It's a very nice cage, wouldn't fit in my car assembled so the store just assembled the stand and put the rest of the pieces in the back seat. Cardboard container wouldn't fit either. I do have an assembly guide but it just doesn't make sense to me, will wait a couple of days, I am a fool.
April 28, 200817 yr If the shop's not far away and they have one already assembled you could go have a look at it.
April 28, 200817 yr i feel sorry for you, i had to do my cocky's new cage also :S oh lord their instructions were Crappy!
April 28, 200817 yr I did look at the store model one but I cannot remember and store is far, far away, cage was 200 dollars off, will try and be not so tired but I don't have a day off for a long time.............will post a picture when I finally get it assembled, I think it is a fantastic cage!
April 28, 200817 yr okay, well we have a couple of annoying cages like that. You have to think them through logically, put the sides where the sides go and then work your way through it one piece at a time. You could lay all the pieces out and we could try and advise if you like
April 28, 200817 yr Well now, if you wanna fly me over there I'll even bring my own tools to do the job.
April 28, 200817 yr Looks a lot like my cage which came in 5 pieces (for the actual cage). The front and the back which were obvious, then the sides which you placed so that the grate holding bits faced inwards down the bottom, and then the roof. The whole lot sat easily on the stand once it was put together.
April 28, 200817 yr Tim, put that cage together and he said it was a pain we had no instructions either when we bought it. Could Glen put it together for you?
April 29, 200817 yr :hap: Too far for Glen to come, I WILL GET IT CONSTRUCTED TOMORROW FOR SURE AND POST A PICTURE!! Don't think the budgies will be in it yet but I am determined to get it done!!!! I do have the internet pictures to refer to and I have an electric screwdriver that I have no idea how to work (a present) but I can do it!!!
April 30, 200817 yr How's the cage construction going Phoebe?? Be sure to take a picture once its all completed!!
April 30, 200817 yr l hope that you got the cage up, if only l lived closer l would help you put it together. l enjoy putting things together. in my household if someone buys something that needs assembly, they usually call me
April 30, 200817 yr I got my cage off of an online auction and it came with no instructions not even a box!! And you guys know how big its is! (for those who don't, i can stand in it comfortably) So that was fun ( it actually was. Figuring things out is fun!) Phoebe what do you need an electric screwdriver for!? :hap: Edited April 30, 200817 yr by Sailorwolf
May 1, 200817 yr Thanks everybody!! My sister bought me the screwdriver as she was frustrated by the plain old ones I have, haven't used it yet!! I have been SO busy and time challenged with my Mother, work and rescue stuff, I can't get near it yet. I am probably quite capable of doing it but even jigsaw puzzles scare me! Promise, will post a picture the moment it is done.
May 7, 200817 yr I couldn't do it alone;the teenager from across the street washed my car and came in to help, he too, agreed, too much for one person. (and didn't know how to use an electric screwdriver either!) Biggest problem now is where to put perches, ladders, toys, etcetera but I guess that is the easy part???
May 7, 200817 yr Well I have the four in, and camera acting up (put in the cd disk twice as pictures will not download and I give up, having more and more problems) so cannot post the pictures. Not as ideal as I would like it but looks pretty good to me, Buddy is okay with it, Comet, Monty and Happy freaking out and having diarrhea..................
May 7, 200817 yr LOL that's mu cage but in white, I have the instructions for that but they might as well be in Japanese... in fact they might be! Looks great however
May 7, 200817 yr Well done Phoebe and boy across the road It looks really good. I'm sure your birds will get used to it... they probably just don't like change! lol. Congrats!!!
May 8, 200817 yr :hap: Well, things are not going well, I have installed and uninstalled my camera stuff many times over the last couple of days, modified and done all but I cannot post pictures. I have had this camera for 3 years and it was cheap to begin with so maybe it is time to say goodbye. :hap: Anyhow, Buddy is the ONLY one happy with the new setup, perhaps Happy the geriatric female is as well. Comet has gone into shut down mode and is only staying in one corner of the cage and he usually is MR Personality. My Mother (who lives downstairs) said it was very quiet today. And Monty, poor Monty, who is physically, mentally and neurologically challenged, CANNOT handle the cage at all!! He is used to horizontal cage bars and these are vertical and he cannot get around and is chewing at his feet as they clamp onto the cage bars! So, have placed bowls of food and water at ground zero so he will be okay and have placed a wooden ladder rather than the wire one so he can hopefully climb better. Will do a bit more rearranging, everything LOOKS great but I don't know. Everybody but Buddy using the bowls for water and food.............. :hap:
May 8, 200817 yr That's not good news :hap: I hope they get used to it in time! I'm sure it looks great though :hap:
