Baby Thumpa

A big baby that dwarfs it's nest mates, with plenty of down. It's gonna need it as the weather turned cold, keeping he's brothers and sisters warm. Hatched 31/03/08 hope it's not a feather duster!!

A quick edit, this baby is number 3 from 8. Two older ones have been fostered.

I love them fluffy downy chicks.

Awww cute photo. Can't wait to see them feather up. Like you say hopefully he isn't a feather duster.

I don't think it is a feather duster, he is just big! he's 4 days and 2 days older nest mates are about half the size.

Arrrrr it's just so slow! waiting for them to feather up.

I haven't got the patience I used to have!

With an aviary full of feathers from moulting birds and some superglue...you could save the wait ;)
