Posted April 9, 200817 yr Her back appears 'sway'...what causes this? She is the only one I have like this and I do not know the cause? Also should I not use her for breeding? Thanks in advance for your help. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm35/su...notbreedher.jpg Edited April 9, 200817 yr by Elly image too large, changed into link, please read photo guidelines thank you for understanding
April 9, 200817 yr Two possible causes....she could be a bird with what is termed a "hinged tail" which affects her posture. Since she is hidden behind others, you cannot see her tail and the photo isnt of her alone in a few poses its hard to say if thats what her issue is. Other thing is hens that are desperate to be bred in an aviary often adopt this posture. Edited April 9, 200817 yr by KAZ

April 10, 200817 yr Author whats with the pink one?! sorry I know off topic...its PINK but.......Its a bourke...my dad had a few some time ago...this is the only one left...and since my daddy's not with us any longer I just don't have the heart to get rid of him..or her? Not sure how to sex those?May get it a mate though...feeling sort of bad for him.Would only use her as a foster or for pet birds. Not for show birds.Thankyou....understanding that the more thought I give it.And obviously if I 'visually' see a problem should not breedbecause somewhere down the line it may come out. Love all of the help from everyone and thankyou for using 'laymans terms' (Laughing out loud)...I have read and read online...and some of that mumbojumbo I'm still thinking 'jeesh'....needa website...budgiesfordummies ....(Laughing out loud) ...anyway thanksto all again!
