April 5, 200817 yr Great setup, very close to mine , but i put my corn on a plate instead hehehe. I like the way you have your water on a pot plant stand... is that to help keep the seed out of the water?? I have mine elevated on a brick (away from the seed), but the seed still makes it's way into the water some how :glare:
April 5, 200817 yr Author Yes the stand for the water keep it off the ground. Keeps a lot of seed and rubbish out.

April 6, 200817 yr yes raw corn on the cob. I get three large ones for just under $2au still with the husks on. Those where put in on Saturday and I'll change them on Wednesday. Here in india we get cron on the cob only in some reasons and not always. Also once we remove the husk from the raw corn on the cob, hardly for say around 4 hours to half a day only it stays tender/soft.....after which it will become hard, may be due to the local climatic conditions. Any ideas or suggestions on this. Also during other seasons when corn on cob is unavailable, can we serve the raw cracked pop cron?
April 6, 200817 yr Author I'm not sure how to keep the corn fresh it will go "hard" but the birds should eat most of it by then. If it dries out and not spoils the birds will eat on the hard cob. Mine do.
April 6, 200817 yr Great idea Daz going to make some for my flights. Keep flowing thoughs good ideas in.
April 7, 200817 yr Anyone else Have good ideas ..... Daz ..... keep them coming I am saving them (Laughing out loud)
April 7, 200817 yr Birds love them. I replace the cob twice a week. A corn cob in my aviary lasts all of five minutes....so I generally have to put about 5 full cobs in the aviary and two in the kindie cage

Is dried hard corn cob will not be too hard to Budgie beaks and they can crack it is it? Also could you please provide me with some ideas on how we can introduce corn on cob to my Budgies.
April 7, 200817 yr I've used corn on cob for my junior cage and in the aviary... we can also get it frozen on cob in raw form.. mine LOVE it. I didn't know how long to keep it out though, so I removed daily... good to know I can keep it in for a few days.
