Posted April 4, 200817 yr I have been told different things just wanted to ask a few of the experts....can the budgies [hens and cocks] be kept together in a big flight cage when not breeding? Or does this cause problems when I try to pair them up to breed? Thanks for all your input. Sue Ann
April 4, 200817 yr All of mine are together in the flights until paired up. Some who have seperated the hens and cocks before have said that the cocks get to prefer the boys company and that their hens get fat and lazy on their own. The flirtacious behaviour between cocks and hens apparently is good for them. Edited April 4, 200817 yr by KAZ
April 5, 200817 yr I have heard the same Kaz. I was initially going to have seperate flights but have chosen not too.
April 5, 200817 yr Questoin: What's a flight? ♥Indz When we talk about a flight....its aviary flying space. We breeders usually have a breeding room or place for breeder cages..... and flights or aviaires are where they go when they arent breeding. :hap: Edited April 5, 200817 yr by KAZ
