Posted April 4, 200817 yr As some of you might have read a few weeks ago, my partner is building me a new aviary. The plan is to make a timber enclosure (similar to cubby house but bigger) with a flight built off it. Just wondering if anyone out there has any good ideas that we can pinch before we start building?? As it gets terribly hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter, I thought it would be a good idea if we insulated the roof and walls, and another idea is to get some of those revolving feed containers which means you dont need to go into the cage to change their seed. Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated!!
April 4, 200817 yr Yah... I love new aviaries.... what I'd do: concrete the base, have power and water, those seed dishes sound fab, um... that's all I can think of now...
April 4, 200817 yr Personally I'd prefer the normal way with seed dishes ( the revolving door is a great idea) However I like to go in and see everything and everyone do the daily checks Poops , and etc ... with the revolving feeders you kinda get lazy and just fill their feed ..
