March 25, 200817 yr How: I had met a friend, through a friend of mine who was interested in budgies also, she was already a member of this forum and posted up some questions about one of my birds mutations for me, which inspired me to join and find out more info for myself. Why: Because I had owned budgies for many years and wanted to find out more about the care, breeding and mutations myself after my first clutch during the summer before. Now: I'm addicted to learning new things, helping others with the knowledge i already hold and it's generally a nice atmosphere to meet and chat with friendly people who have the same things in common with this hobby. Who do I have now? In the beginning i had around 40 birds and had bred 3 clutches already on my own before joining... Now i have around 100-120 birds with babies all over the place and a passion of hand rearing them for friendly pets... I'm just getting into show size bird breeding now and this forum is helping alot with the more experienced breeders in this area (Kaz, Norm, Daz) to name a few
