My hen has been very hands on lately. More & more she has been coming to the front of the cage & whisper talks to me while I am reading or working. I talk back to her & ask her questions & she answers in the sweet chitty chat way. Staring me in the face. While she ignores the Weebil.

 

Lately I've been taking her on little walks thru the house. Since the "GREAT WING CLIP of 2008" she knows she can't get to far without me. SHE EATS TOO MOISH ... SHE TOO DARN FAT TO FLY !

So we wander around from room to room while she sits on my hand or fingers & I talk to her softly & we stop at the windows & sliding doors to the deck & she sees birds flying around & the bright sunlight. I was happy she allowed me to stroke her head recently. She has beens molting & has some annoying itchy feathers up there. So she liked that & didn't fuss. No bites !

 

THIS BIRD DOESN'T BITE at all ... but will back her head away, she doesn't want to be touched much either. As for step up & walkies ... no problem she will do it.

 

Today we walkie'd around & visited the sites again. She was impressed with the sunshine on the windows & the bright light & warmth. She snuggled into my face & rubbed her head on my scruffy chin & I KISSED HER.

 

Total shock ... for both of us. She didn't move away. I didn't either. My lips sat on my little yellow Angels head for a minute or more while I whisper kissed her noggin & told her she was a Angel & I loved her.

 

My girlfriend is not speaking to me now & has thrown a pillow & blanket on the sofa & shut the bedroom door against me.

 

 

Oh well .... it's not as bad as I thought it would be. At least she didn't start packing her bags. YET.

How touching!!! Maybe you need to set the Weebil and your girlfriend up for a kiss of their own?!?!

I think the Weebil will draw blood from the g/f. She is afraid of him & he knows it.

Very cute!!! None of my budgies kiss me, just Phoebe the lovebird and my foster lovebird Joey, they LOVE giving smooches. Tell the girlfriend to chill!

SMARTY PANTS ... there was no sugar on my lips. Just budgie smooochins !

 

As for the g/f ... she doesn't understand my passions for the BUDGIES ... she thinks they are poopin, shedding, dusty, noisy, time consuming, biting, money sucking financial dwindling annoyances. But she says this with LOVE !

 

That's why I sleep on the Sofa. It's good we don't have a cat. Or dog. Or moose or a pet anything that eats more then a human.

 

Her tenderness & caring makes me love my girlfriend SO MUCH !!!!!!!!

HECK NO ! I am beginning to LOVE MY SOFA now ! It's close to the refridgerator & if theres nothing to munch in there I like ... I run down to the donut shop on the corner. Then I can stay up late & have the remote for the TV all to myself & no one tells me to " TURN THAT OFF ! I WANT TO SLEEP " ... I got it good. Even if my back aches a little.

YUP ... It's like being single again ... sort of.

I definitely think Jimmy hit the nail on the head, those lips would never be free from sugar & yucky sticky stuff from all the cakes & donuts, that passed their way. I don’t blame the G/F from keeping well away…no wonder he’s sleeping on the sofa, she probably can’t stand the slip, slop slurp of those lips as they suck cake even during the night. he he he!!! Poor Budgie I guess it didn’t have a chance or choice in the matter…
