Posted March 10, 200817 yr As again inspired by someone elses post and at request of Elly to see parts of australia, Here's some uploaded pictures from My neck of the woods, Perth!!! - One of the horses at a B&B in collie standing by a nice view - The QEII(Queen Elizabeth II) Taking off from Fremantle (my closest Beach) the other evening - The View from John forrest national Park - and again - A well named "Bleeding Gum" Oozing it's sap all over the ground - No,no one was just murdered here - Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree!!! merry merry king of the bush is he!!! laugh kookaburra laugh!!! - A pretty Wild flower - The Intricate Rock faces - another pretty rock face - a Lazy old magpie on the bridge about 1m from dad - A GORGEOUS splendid Wren! - and again - and again... He was tooo pretty not to add! - A possum box - another rock face - The pretty water in the park! - and the other direction! - And last but not least, bob and i in the pool at our house... We may not have snow, But there's other luxuries we get (i still want snow though!!!) *sorry for scaring all with me in bathers* Anyone Wanting to add their own Aussie pics, Feel free to add to this Thread I'd love to see them also as i've never left W.A.
March 10, 200817 yr Oh thank you, thank you I love the beautiful birds that AU has, your landscaping is gorgeous, we have a pool too but not in use hehe....will have to post pool pics in the summer. I love the last picture you 2 are a beautiful couple

March 10, 200817 yr i decided to add some pictures of nsw, i live in the Hunter Valley so a 1/2 hour drive and i am at the beach and a hour drive in the opposite direction and i am in the mountains and rainforests which is where my husband goes camping with my eldest son. Barrington tops,when my husband and son went camping last winter Boiling the billy Hunter lookout, at the top of barrington Stockton Beach, which is great for a 4wd Miles and miles of sand Kangaroo at a animal park there my place. lorikeets visiting my place parrots visit as well i hope you enjoy my tour of my part of nsw that i live.
March 10, 200817 yr Deb - something l can relate to I haven't actually been to that part of NSW yet, but l'll add some of my own: This is when my ex-boyfriend and l went on holiday to Scotts Head. Its on the coast near Kempsey. This is my pop's lighthouse that he grew up in The view from our unit that we rented for the week A cute little crab, it was about the size of my hand Taronga Zoo: I love Giraffes And me patting a lamb who kept trying to eat my paper bag: New Years Eve at the Harbour Bridge:
March 10, 200817 yr Long post warning hehe Our Hot arrid australia.... Flinders Rangers National Park (6 hours drive north Of Gawler) And again... Travel anouther hour north and you come to this..... nothing Dry farming land near my house Pretty landscape also near my home The last time it rained - december 07 and we haven't had a drop since.... The dead grass is still dead and the little hedge we were trying to grow is dead now too. $350 on the spot fine if we get caught watering our gardens. Beach about 15 mins from our house - lovely shallow warm water. its perfect for our young kids to play in, and there is no risk of rips or sharks Sunset over Semaphore Beach last week

Deb it sounds a bit funny to me when you say "camping in winter" :hap: , here it's like a summer thing and it's quite dificult to imagine going camping in winter for me Kangaroo at a animal park there my place. March 11, 200817 yr Well, I live in Geelong, and haven't got around to getting some local beach pics yet, I spend most of my childhood holidays at my grandparents farm in country victoria, but haven't got around to finding them yet... so, I've posted some photos I took last april when I went on two '3 day' hiking holidays of Tasmania... one was on the East coast- Frecinet National Park and the other was on the West Coast/ Central- Cradle Mountain. Wineglass Bay-Frecinet National Park Cradle Mountain in Fog Tasmanian Devils- A breeding program. Cradle Mountain Cradle Mountain- highest peak. Ravin... check out those EVIL eyes!!! Moss on a tree Fungus Fungus Sorry for all the pics. It was very hard to pick just these... esp out of over 300!!! (Laughing out loud)
March 11, 200817 yr WOW there are so many wonderful pictures that I can't comment in them all but I see a little bit of AU in the U.S. too when you go to different states you can see the diversity from state to state and from country to country. Just beautiful and breathtaking, you don't realize it when you live in the same 4 walls and then you see other pictures and reality is that there are so many wonderful places to visit and see.

It was durng their tulip festival in August ... March 12, 200817 yr Wow guys, all your photos are simply stunning! I love the little splendid wren, libby, they are such beautiful little birds. And the landscape pictures are breathtaking, I'm in love with the bush, I've always wanted to live there....maybe one day . I'm going to stay at my grandparents house in a few days and my grandpa loves taking me 'to the bush' so hopefully I'll have a few picture to add!
