Posted March 7, 200817 yr Hello all Check out my birds and please comment. the blue one has been with me since he was few months old. got it from my friends cousin who is a breeder Spangled female i bought from another breeder when she was two months old. 1.5 years old and is paired with the normal blue male. I hope they produce some good chicks. The female looks much better in real life as she has a nice stance and she is bigger in size than the males that i have. color is not very good for spangled so paired with a normal colored male Normal olive green i bought from a petshop and am not sure of the age. am looking for a good female for him
March 7, 200817 yr Love the blue top one... looks all staunch. I can imagine him saying "What you talkin' about Willis?" :(Laughing out loud): different strokes...
March 7, 200817 yr Hi Mindless, It's nice to have a forum member from Karachi! Your birds all look fantastic. Good luck with the chicks from your blue/grey spangle pair. I think you should get some nice chicks from that pairing. I'd love to see photos of your other budgies! Love the blue top one... looks all staunch. I can imagine him saying "What you talkin' about Willis?" :(Laughing out loud): different strokes... Thanks for the trip down memory lane, I had to go back and look at the pictures again, you are right, it does! Feathers. Edited March 7, 200817 yr by Feathers
March 7, 200817 yr Welcome to the forum Very nice stance, strong back and good lines. Nice height above the perch. Nice death of mask with nice spots. nice width across the cere and a hit of directional feathering. To me a cobalt or dark Skyblue. Can't comment on posture as she is leaning forward. Shallow in mask but good width mask. Being a Spangle she has the appearance of the ghost spots appearing and may develop well. Width of Cere is very good. Bad point is the flecking on the crown. But this may not be produced in the offspring. Spangle Opaline Grey > Pairing the Cobalt to the the Grey will give you some very nice chicks. You will find a high percentage of Greys against blue. The cocks will all be split Opaline unless the Cock is split Opaline and than 50% will be Opaline the other 50% will be Split Opaline. The Hens will be normal unless the cock is split opaline then 50% will be Opaline and 50% will be Normal. Out of all the chicks. 50% will be non spangle 50% will be spangle. Good luck with the pairing, I believe that the good features of the cock bird should help the faults of the Hen to give you some very nice chicks.
March 8, 200817 yr Author Thank u you very much all for appreciating my birds Daz Thanks for the in depth analysis and comments i really do appreciate it. The pair was made looking at the faults of the female. The female is offspring of a blue spangled female and a yellow faced opaline. The cobalt male is the offspring of grey normal female and cobalt normal male. Can you also comment on the olive green male as well. if you need another picture from the side that can be posted too Feathers The other budgies are not show budgies but will post pics soon Edited March 8, 200817 yr by Daz Spelling
