Posted March 2, 200817 yr Hi Guys... As of yesterday i am the owner of Another 8 birds A friend of mine had to sell his lot (11...3 had already been sold) as they were having night frights and his neighbours were complaining.... i said i could provide them with a new home for a very cheap price ($150... he chose it) The lot He gave me ALOT of extra stuff which i was VERY suprised and pleased with... all up i don't even want to think about all the stuff he gave me and how much it would be worth We got 5 kg of trill seed a large wooden perch ladder, 4 rope swings, numerous toys, 6 perch brackets, 3 packets of split rings, 15 budgie books! (excellent ones) 2 x double pine brand new nestboxes and a Flourescent glow in the dark perch/night light... i don't even want to think bout how much He paid for all of it :yellowhead: I tried to give him more money for it all but he would not take it :hap: But anyway ... What do you all think of the new birds Here are some pics Names would be appreciated! http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff16/1libby/b1-1.jpg An albino Cock...I think he's quite a pretty boy A recessive pied cock.. Although it Can look like a hen front on it looks like a cock A texas clearbody Cock!!!! My first a What i think is a nice lutino hen This boy is absoloutly stunning!!! BUT... according to his ring is rung in.... 1997 !!!! a grey-green opaline spangle hen a Df spangle cock and last but not least a green split to recessive hen Oldest ring aside the blue boy is gold which is 06, so with any hope we'll be able to breed some of these gorgeous birds Let me know what you all think sorry guys, two had to be made links... March 2, 200817 yr it sounds like you got a bargain there, they are beautiful birds and you got a good variety as well.
March 2, 200817 yr Very good birds Libby...very nice and healthy looking too. A few with green rings...last years. Do you know which time of year the green ring ones were bred ? By the Way....you need a bigger aviary
March 2, 200817 yr Author Not too sure which part of 07 they were bred in kaz... But will probably be waiting a bit before breeding with them... or contacting the breeders.. either or
March 2, 200817 yr Great buy there Libby. Esp with all the extra stuff you got! Very nice looking birds too
March 3, 200817 yr They are beautiful. And wow. That beautiful sly blue with a band of 1997. He sure is getting up there in age. I hope he lives another good few years with you.
March 4, 200817 yr Great birds Libby, you should be able to do something with that lot…sorry he had to get rid of them but, that's the problem with living in suburbia…you scored lots of other treasure too…lucky girl…I got an email last night, from a show breeder friend wants to give me some fertile eggs, as he has to go away & can't have more chicks hatching. The Sky is a fantastic bird, but you will have to be lucky in my experience to get young out of him, but you could be lucky certainly worth a try. Edited March 4, 200817 yr by Norm
