May 19, 200816 yr Amira and George's only result from the first round....GEORGIE GIRL Georgie-girl's nap time and I went to check George and Amira's nesbox today as last time I checked she had 6 eggs. What a shock to find...7 eggs and ONE CHICK !! Guess I miscalculated that one Not only does she have a chick, but this time she has FED it !! Cross your fingers
May 19, 200816 yr Maybe she has figured out what to do!!! And Georgie girl is too cute... so feathery!
June 5, 200816 yr Update on Amira and Georges round two. They only hatched out one baby this time and fed it very well. The chick could be a normal grey and very well looked after by Amira and husband George. Another hen chick to follow in her older sisters footsteps and she will belong to Feathers when she is ready to leave home. Here she is and older sister Georgie Girl and look fluffy Edited June 8, 200816 yr by KAZ
June 8, 200816 yr Here is Georgie Girls sister...daughter of Amira and George. She has turned out to be a skyblue it seems and maybe carrying violet.
June 26, 200816 yr Here is Amira and George's latest baby growing up a little and way better than its grey sister. The blue baby belongs to feathers due to our combined breeding of this pair and the grey is mine. The blue baby's cere has changed colour and now I cannot be sure if its a hen or cock. The grey is a hen and older than the blue. Edited June 26, 200816 yr by KAZ
June 26, 200816 yr That lil blue baby is just to die for isnt he/she?? Glad you got some good results from such lovely birds :hap: (after a little rocky start I mean) Edited June 26, 200816 yr by Sunnie
June 26, 200816 yr The parent have begun a round three of laying. Normally I wouldn't allow a round three. BUT in this case she has only effectively raised one chick and the parents both look good, so she has begun again and so far has three eggs. As she is pretty unreliable with her eggs.....she stops sitting on them after a chick hatches....I will foster some of her eggs elsewhere.
