Posted February 10, 200817 yr I visited my local pet shop to buy a few accessories and ended up buying a new baby budgie. :budgiedance: I have named him Balki. He was a little scared when I brought him home but has settled now. He is in quaranteen at the moment away from my other 2, George and Franklin. They will have a new buddy soon. Does anyone know what type he is?

February 10, 200817 yr All I see is the recessive pied in him not any opaline if you have a picture of the back of him it may help see if he is carrying the opaline gene. It is a rarity to find a male opaline (more common in females) since it is sex linked. From the look of the cere he looks like a he too. . Congrats. Is 35.00 a normal cost for you? In the US our recessive pieds are around 14 - 19.00 but because of the conversion things may be more and if handfed or handled around 35.00? Just curious :fear
February 10, 200817 yr Author Hi Elly Thanks for that. I will take a picture of his back later today. I bought him from a local pet shop and usually find that baby budgies cost around the AUD35.00 dollar mark in shops.
