Posted January 26, 200817 yr Hi All Great website. I just wanted to post some pics of my 1st budgie I bought today, Coco. I think he is a he, can anybody tell by the pics? They are quite unclear, only taken from a mobile phone. I think he is pretty young, bars down to his beak. http://s244.photobucket.com/albums/gg31/TamandCoco/ Cheers for all the great info
January 26, 200817 yr Author Thanks everybody, I am attached to him already. He has not made a sound since I brought him home, is this normal behaviour for a male?

You bought him home today yeah?...then it's very normal! He'll be a little stressed until he settles in. You may also notice his poos may be runny and he may not eat and drink a whole lot. Give him time and he should be fine! Just talk to him lots and make him feel welcome :(Laughing out loud): Check out the posts in the "bringing home a new budgie" section (where your first post was)and/or the FAQ's. They should give you some idea of what to expect.

If he doesn't start to become a little more vocal in the next week or so - would that suggest that perhaps my he is a she?

If he can hear god's birds (outside birds) and/or a radio, he might start becoming more vocal :(Laughing out loud): Edited January 26, 200817 yr by maesie
