January 21, 200817 yr Author The youngest adopted chick of Mickeys died a few days ago...always seemed a little too small that one :yellowhead: The three dom pieds are stunners the colour is wonderful. Mickeys last chick YF SKYBLUE ...in this adopted nest is doing great. She is an explorer and keeps coming out into the breeder cabinet before she is fully feathered. Mickey won first prize in budgie shows twice on the weekend too. Vinnie ( who is big half brother to the dom pied schicks also won 1st place ).......I will do some more photos tonight after I finish work as I have deadline to meet and 4 leadlights to make for delivery tomorrow morning. January 21, 200817 yr Nice chicks Kaz, I have a lot now of that colour. I bought that cock the YF2 Blue Spangle that was one of the first birds I asked about what mutation it was on this forum, when I joined, as I like the colour, they almost look like Rainbows. Well now I have lots of them from that cock & his line & others I bred, but I have made a personal preference to keep the Pied out of my Spangles, so I don’t loose the wing pattern. That Opaline has nice strong markings, but once you get the marking that good it’s hard to keep it out of the triangle isn’t it.

January 27, 200817 yr Author crossing my fingers for the second clutch, I can't wait to see bubs soon! Its really hot here today but later I will take some photos
