Posted January 3, 200817 yr :bluebudgie: I had a friend up the other day who has had budgies all of her life. She recommended that I pick Beaky up and hold him for a few minutes every now and then throughout the day. that was 4 days ago and I have been doing that. Now every time i even brush past the cage, he squaks to come out!!! Anyway, I just got him out again a while ago and thought, right this is the one, we are going to the bathroom to check out how he reacts to being out but not held. So off we went and all he wanted to do was sit on my shoulder. So I walked around the house a bit and he just sat there looking around and had no interest in flying off while he was getting his chin scratched. Is it normal for things to happen that fast or is he just some kind of genius bird who will be doing backflips at the drop of a hat???!!!!!!! I hope everyone else is having as much fun as us with their birds. Hugs to all Kathym1977 :feedbirds:
January 3, 200817 yr That is awesome news! What a clever little budgie :bluebudgie: . Is it normal for things to happen that fast or is he just some kind of genius bird who will be doing backflips at the drop of a hat???!!!!!!! I personally don't think there is a 'normal' when it comes to training and/or taming, it just depends on the bird, some take to it fairly quickly while others can take a much longer time. But that's just my opinion .
January 3, 200817 yr I agree with Bec Sta . I tamed my bird Baby in about 5 minutes!. All birds are different. Edited January 3, 200817 yr by Little one
