here are photos of my babies that i started hand raising 4 weeks ago.they are fully weaned now and learning to fly. As you can see from the photos they have taken over the lounge and my 12 month old budgie has accepted them come into his territory.i seem to have a assortment of colours in the babies and i was wondering with the two different shades of blue are two a sky blue and one a cobalt. The darker blue one is darker than what the photo shows. this was my first attempt at hand raising and with the help of the information i found on your forums i managed for them all to survive and be happy little budgies. thanks for a great community you have going.

thanks, rita and hayworth are going to go to a friend who will spoil them heaps but i am going to miss them.i have really enjoy looking after them and would love to do it again.can any one tell me what the colours of hayworth and violet are, i was thinking a sky blue spangle and cobalt spangle.

Hayworth is a skyblue spangle and Violet is either a cobalt or violet spangle. If Violet is cobalt she certainly is carrying violet as there is a violet hue around the base of the neck and over some of the other feathers.

thanks kaz, i really love the colour of violet and i am fairly sure she is a female so i am plannning to keep her to breed with and i am keeping my eye out for a male to buy to pair her with when she is older.

Have a look at Bea's BLINKIE as I think violet will end up looking like that as an adult.

You've done an awesome job with those guys!! They look great, and sooo cute!

 

PS: My Blinkie is in my sig, he's a cobalt spangle and in some light he looks a bit violet, so your Violet could very well end up like him.
