Chick 3 (I thought was going to be grey but I see blue tail feathers in this photo)

Chick 4 is the same as chick 3 and chick 5 is yet to feather up.

What do you think?

Those two oldest chicks are definitely Opalines & look like being Violet too.

Chick three looks like being a Normal Blue, like Dad…Dad must be Split for Opaline for you to get Opaline chicks, so they can be either sex. They look good.

DSCF0483.jpgDSCF0484.jpg Chick 2. 26 days - Opaline Violet also? Seems have a dark beak?

DSCF0481.jpgDSCF0482.jpg Chick 3. 23 days - Cinnamon wing blue? Very pretty

DSCF0487.jpgDSCF0488.jpg Chick 4. 22 days - Cobalt normal like Dad? Another dark beak and cere?

DSCF0489.jpgDSCF0490.jpg Chick 5. 18 days - Another opaline?

Some have really dark beaks and dark ceres, I tried to clean it off but it doesn't come off?

1st one looks female the oplane violet

2nd one looks male the skyblue

3rd with the real black cere not a clue

4th one I can't tell either

Those are my guess... they are beautiful

Please dont try and clean the black off......it wont come off. It like someone trying to scrub off your freckles  Its part of the colour of their beak. Its a melanin thing and will change over the next few weeks. Some top breeders in the world keep the chicks that start out with black beaks ...they see it as a good sign.

first two look female the third might be male and the last two are too young (or marked) to tell.
