I Haven't been here for a while. looks great. Tundra and Beep are doing well except the younger ( tundra) is very very destructive. Everything in their cage she has destroyed. ladders, perches, food dishes, toys etc. She can't leave anything alone. I figured with the 2 of them of course they would be mischievious. Is this normal for a budgies? Also they are in this habit of chirping while dozing off? Its cute and thank god quiet but is it normal?

all budgies have different personalities

I have heard that females can be more destructive then males in the realm of chewing and such.

Her personality has changes since I got her. She gets into everything. I'm looking for dishes she can't lift off the bars or dump when I put it on the floor of the cage.To keep both girls busy I place a small soufle dish full of pony beads and they throw them... It keeps them out of trouble for a bit anyways

yep, l agree that all budgies do have a different personality.

some of my budgies lately have decided that it is fun to kick there food dishes out, so the dishes fly to the floor, throwing their seeds all over my floor and then they watch me go and clean up their miss and put back their dish. just for them to do it again

so l have to go and get some of those dishes that you can clamp on to the cage.

For my Coco, (who was a constant egg layer and had to be returned to rescue and she has not since laid an egg in 4 months), I had to have food and water containers that could be screwed into the cage bars so there was no way she could throw them around. Some budgies are just more destructive and active than others.

after i put seed grass in the cage of mine, after they have eatin it push it out the sides of the cage and onto the floor, or into the finches cage

All my hens are destructive they chew and destroy everything - the boys dont get a look in at shredder toys at all.

at my local breeder's store, she sells a type of food dish that fits some cages and none of my birds have been able to move them out thank goodness.
