Cutting The Dowl For Perches

Featured Replies

Not sure if this is the right place to put this or not?

Does anybody have an easy way to cut the slots out in the end of the dowl to make perches for a breeding cage? We have the cage built but are having great trouble putting a slot in the end of the dowl to make the perch fit on the cage front.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just stick the dowel in a vice to hold it put then I use my jig saw or a hand saw and cut a slit on each end, works for me :yellowhead:

I use a drilled hole and a screw and large washer to hold it to the front of my breeder cages. The washer comes from the type that you use for corrugated iron roofing.
