Budgie Sizes

Hey guys, I wonder, what's the usual size for a regular pet budgie? I remember that this last weekend I had brought Bud and Pat over to the petstore for a little nail clip (Yep, now I have some special perch to do it more naturally but whoops, I had forgotten to buy one before...) and I noticed that Bud was much bigger than Pat is. She's noticeably taller, though not as big as a show budgie, and she weights more... Tonight I had both in my hands I could just weight the difference just like that. I don't think she's overweight or anything, just... naturally biggg girl.

:D Can't give you my actual weights but my budgies range in size from the petite Buddy to heavy Happy (who has lived many years with her lipomas under treatment). :hap:

pet budgies are usually around average of 35-40grams

show budgies (exhibition or english) are around 45g- 55g

give or take I am sure

(Laughing out loud), okay! thanks. I guess she's just a big girl. :)

Someone told me that females are usually bigger?

My indoor boys weigh from 32g (pipsqueak Fizzy, don't worry he's always been that small) to 41g (Macho-Man Ozzie). Blinkie sits anywhere between 38g and 40g depending on how much of a pig he's been that day. :) Some of my outdoor budgies would weigh a decent amount.....fatties. :(Laughing out loud):
