Posted August 12, 200717 yr Today Akala's lump burst, it was oozing blood for a while but it's since stopped and dried. When i was trying to clean her up i noticed that her lump has grown quite a lot in just a week and a half. :ausb: We're hoping to get to the vet either first thing in the morning, or on Tuesday morning. If it's just going to keep growing rapidly, and bursting, she may not be coming home. :budgiedance: Edited August 12, 200717 yr by Bea

August 13, 200717 yr Author The lump had more than doubled in size in just a week and a half. It was attached to the wing in such a way that to remove it would mean removing the whole wing. We got her put to sleep. RIP Akala. I feel absolutely terrible.

August 13, 200717 yr Sorry to hear about that Bea, it's kind of like Rosey, my Rosey Bourke whom I had put down in January, this horrible tumor kept growing, kept getting aspirated ( I could NOT believe the fluid they got) and kept coming back, mind you Rosey was a much older bird but I still miss her so much. :angel1: Edited August 13, 200717 yr by Phoebe
