I was poking my fingers through the cage bars the other night when I was tucking in the budgies, and giving Bobby kisses, when he came and sat with one foot on my hand, the other on the perch! I said to him "awwww Bobby are we holding hands", and got a flash of inspiration, lets see if we can teach him to do that!!

 

He picked it up in no time, I didn't even need to reward him with millet, just the excited tone of my voice, he knows he has done something good!!

 

I present my finger to him and say, Bobby lets hold hands! (I say hold hands in a high pitched voice)

He slowly lifts up one leg and places it on my finger!! I praise him all excited and high pitched - Clever boy Bobby!! What do you reckon his next words will be!!

 

He does it when he is on my finger (excuse the blurry picture, hubby took it!)

 

and he does it from a perch!

 

He will sit still for ages and hold my hand like this!!

 

He is such a clever little boy!!!
