I always think its fun to give my birds something cool to look at on the bottom of their cage. Lots of times I'll try to use the produce section of the grocery store ads so they can look at fruits and veggies. Other times I think its funny to put the meat section facing them.*L* They've gotten to poop on leather furniture without being yelled at (we have that stuff in our house and Baby has given it countless poop stains that we always chide her over. *L*). Today, in addition to strawberries, cantaloupe, raspberries and green beans, Cupid and Psyche get to look at a cat, puppy and a baby! *(Laughing out loud)*

You think it will allow your birds to get out all their frustration before letting them loose in the house & that will save your furniture & other things…(Laughing out loud)…good luck.

I use the newspaper for lining too

I use newspaper, sometimes they get ads, sometimes articles. I've actually started reading the paper now. I'll be lining the cages and an interesting article will catch my eye....i'll be standing there reading my birds poop paper.

I buy bulk white copy paper or looseleaf lined paper when it is on sale. Like NOW, when it is back to school time in North America. It may cost more but I don't have to mess around cutting up newspaper. Also, for my tiel/lovey cages my friend gets me discarded clean paper from some printing place and I cut them to size, no sweat!

I've done that before Bea. Set it up for their cage and found something of interest and so swapped paper so I could read it later.

I alway comment to my guys when I am putting something particularly interesting in their cage to read, like here find us a nice house to live in when the real estate section goes in, or have a laugh at these when the comics go in!!

I don't know if its any easier or not, but I just fold the edge under to size. And sometimes the ads come in just the right size!

l do that too , but l also cut my newspaper in half and then l fold it to fit the trays

I don't need to fold mine at all. I have to use about 4 pieces just to cover my floor. tehe
