July 14, 200717 yr Welcome to our group Lycfriends, nice to have you with us. Thank you for all your nice photos. I’m sorry that you lost some of your birds. Your birds look good. You have some different names, for the colour of birds than in Australia. I understood all your English, thank you.
July 14, 200717 yr Author You have some different names, for the colour of birds than in Australia. What kind of names are that?? I want learn about the budgerigars' different names and thanks you for your comment. Saludos...
July 14, 200717 yr Hi LyCfriends and welcome. Some of the different names are: Grass green - we would state light green or just green. Laurel isn't use much over here. Lightwing - We call them Greywings. With the pairing of Yell & Lost. Llamp has to be female. A hen can not carry the Ino gene and a male need two ino gene to appear as Ino. (one from each parent)
July 15, 200717 yr Author In Spanish the blue's and green's kinds are: Green: Césped --> Grass: No dark factor Laurel --> Laurel: One dark factor Oliva --> Olive: Two dark factors and Blue: Cielo --> Sky: No dark factor Cobalto --> Cobalt: One dark factor Malva --> Mauve: Two dark factors Lightwing - We call them Greywings. I wanted say clear-wings, it isn't a greywings jejeje. With the pairing of Yell & Lost. Llamp has to be female. A hen can not carry the Ino gene and a male need two ino gene to appear as Ino. (one from each parent) I know that but why do you think that I've said Llamp is a male?? Saludos...
July 15, 200717 yr Because you stated: They're Yell & Lost's sons Green: Césped --> Grass: No dark factor Light Green or Green Laurel --> Laurel: One dark factor Dark Green Oliva --> Olive: Two dark factors Olive and Blue: Cielo --> Sky: No dark factor Cobalto --> Cobalt: One dark factor Malva --> Mauve: Two dark factors These are the same names we use.
