Posted July 13, 200718 yr So what's the dealio with blue feet? The oldest baby now is freaking huge and out of the nestbox. I've noticed he has blue-ish feet. Is this genetic? Does it have to do with male/female? Also, he/she seems to be bobbing his/her head A LOT. Does this mean I possibly have a male? Or is it something else?
July 13, 200718 yr Bobbing the head in a newly fledged youngster is a "feed me" thing. Blue feet come with certain mutations of budgies.

July 13, 200718 yr Bluish feet is normal the pink feet come with mutation with lost of pigment in the body (ino, pied)
July 13, 200718 yr Most of my budgies have pink feet (infact all apart from Arkady, whose are purple) and I don't have any inos or pieds.
July 13, 200718 yr blue feet is normal and I love blue feet (Laughing out loud) Pretty's where pink and Merlin's are like a pink, grey bluish color
