July 11, 200718 yr No differance to personalty, that is different to each and ever bird no matter the mutation. They are called dominant and recessive becuase of the way the gene is inherited. You only need one Dominant gene for that gene to show on the bird. You need two recessive genes for that gene to show on the bird. If the bird only receives one recessive gene that that bird is known to be split for that gene.
July 12, 200718 yr Their patterning is somewhat different too (although in some cases they can be confused between each other). In a dom. pied the pied part is usually on the bottom half of the body and in a rec. pied the pied part is on the top half of the body.
