l was on another bird forum the other day that l ofton go on , there was someone who lives in my city that made a post about trying to rehome his two female budgies that are about 3-4 years old . he really loves them and didn't want to rehome them but unfortunately he had no choice but to do so , he also did not want to put an ad in the local paper because he didn't want some one to take them just for all his equipment and bird toys that he is given away with them .

l replied to his post and after alot of questions through email ( which l didn't mind answering because l knew how much he loves his girls and l would do they same if l ever had to rehome my flock ) he accepted me to take them . so l will be picking them up sometime next week .

here are the little girls who will be joining my flock soon ;

They are beautiful birds and look really healthy. Best of luck with them :blush:

Awwe, they are real cuties. How come he had to rehome them? Poor guy.

l haven't had the heart to ask him why he is rehoming them because he is so heart broken about doing this . l might ask him when l pick them up but l don't know if l will because that is going to be such a very hard day for him :)

l feel really honored that he choose me to take them . he even told me that he is glad that l will take them to join my other 6 budgies and he is amazed that l would be willing to do that , he said that it will be like " budgie heaven " to his girls .

You are really lucky Birdluv, but sad that someone that has looked after his birds so well has got to give them away. They are really beautiful & healthy. Guys what do you think Sweety is, Is she a Texas Clearbody Pied or Lacewing Pied? I just zoomed in on the photo, maybe she is just a full bodied Cinnamon Pied.

Both are birds I wouldn’t mind having in my collection.

wow those are some great looking budgies! I love that Cinnamon Violet DP

Awwe. I feel so sorry for him. Tell him he can come visit them. Or if he can't, send him photos and letters from the girls.

Norm it can't be a lacewing right unless the eyes are red correct?

Not sure about the Texas Clearbody part you may be right, I still have hard time with time with the mutation when it is not alone.

I would say though Sweetie looks like a double factor dominant pied and Sky is a opaline clearflight dominant pied

They are both pretty :D . Good they are going to a happy home

:budgiedance:

Beautiful birds!! They are very lucky to get such a great second home!

How funny and cool that Bea knows them too!

Congrats on you new additions they are both very pretty girls :D
