April 3, 200817 yr Are you guys kidding $4,000.00that is 4 thousand dollars for a bird ... O M G That is almost a good car ????? 4 g's for a bird now call me Niaeve (sp) but apart form ribbons and self satisfaction joy and etc what do you get from show breeding - I can't justify spending $100 on a bird let alone $4,000 ..... Please do not take this the wrong way - I would like to know though what do you get from show breeding Frustration!
April 5, 200817 yr The object of breeding show birds is to improve on the birds that you compete against , if you have good birds you need to spend money to buy the bird that you need , the more people that want that bird the more money it requires to buy it . Simple market logic , sayng that many breed for different puroses some of which the amount spent requires less. To each his or her own the art is in being happy with the bird you get for the money spent whether it be $4 or $4000 . Bubbles.
April 5, 200817 yr HOLY **** I would NEVER EVER pay that much of a bird unless i was filthly STINKING rich!!
April 5, 200817 yr I find it hard for me to spend that much on a bird... but hey if you have that sort of cash laying around and don't know of any homeless or people in need why not spend it on a passion of yours... in this case Show Budgies... You've got to remember these people are not buying them as pets, although they achieve that purpose also, they are buying them to improve there chances at winning shows...
