Here's the twins. One has started growing a little more than the other. They are both doing very well.

they are so sweet the first picture they don't look identical so faternal twins? Congrats Kaz.

Identical twins aren't exactly identical though. Even clones of animals can have slightly differing markings.

On the reading I was doing on twins in eggs it seems to be commonly thought that they have to be fraternal to have a chance of survival.

They are doing very well with their adopted mother Oprah. Crops were HUGE !! tonight. Will take some more piks tomorrow.

Havent named them yet. I am thinking they are females, but am not sure. Soon as I am I will name them .....and KEEP them :)

Their father won a first place in a recent budgie show. I havent shown the mother. I don't feel she is a quality show budgie by any description. These two don't look like show budgies either, but they are cute. Seem "joined at the hip" so to speak and obviously dont like to be separated :)

Hi karen this is an interesting subject.

 

A grey green hen that I bread...has layed 4 eggs only...3 are a good size...1 is double the size...

Well here's hoping they are fertile. If not I'll check to see if they are double yokes.
