Posted March 22, 200718 yr G'day all.. Thought I would breifly introduce myself... My Names Eden, I live in Adelaide, AU. You might wonder why I claim to be jealous?! Its simply because I am currently without the companionship of a budgie....and am envious of all the wonderful stories and pictures, you all have to offer here! I wish I could be contributing instead of lurking as I have over the last few weeks.. You see, I had budgies as a child...or I should say my family did..I now have finally decided to adopt one myself. Ive done alot of research, naturally...and made a few purchases in preperation... but I seem to be having trouble finding a good breeder locally....I refuse to use a pet store.....Persistance pays tho! ( Some might call it stubborness ) So for now, I will remain envious although excited to continue reading your great stories, learning from the informative posts and admiring the fantastic pics...I hope soon to be adding my own! Stay tuned!
March 22, 200718 yr Hi Eden, If only there were more pet owners like you. Too many people walk into a pet store and walk out with an animal they are ill prepared to look after. Good luck in your search for a great breeder in SA. Feathers.
March 22, 200718 yr Hi Eden Happy to see you "lurking" ....best place in the world for " budgie fixes " and to learn and enjoy the world of budgies. I would suggest the best place for you to purchase a good budgie is by getting in touch with a local show budgerigar club. They have very good budgies that they sell off if not up to show standards and they keep very good records of parentage and health history.
