May 11, 200915 yr Author How is the build going Kaz? Any further progress? Ken is still preparing the area and dragging the materials around to the back. We wait for a friend who has offered to help. But we may have to proceed alone as Kens holidays are running out. Edited May 11, 200915 yr by KAZ

May 15, 200915 yr Author We have started attaching all the framework to the existing birdroom and doing the support legs etc.  Here is the new floorplan Its slow going as ken has a foot injury anjd ladders dont agree with him. We have removed the exterior panels from the birdroom and we are putting up the framewortk for the patio section we will be making the flights out of. Hopefully tomorrow the framework will be done. We were out chasing up parts today and concrete etc. View down backyard, showing the birdroom on the left ( as per drawing ) and the gap that will be the front of the flights, with the smaller aviary to the right and Kens aviary further over to the right. Excuse demolition site  Righthand end of the birdroom where we are attaching the framework for the flights. Â
May 15, 200915 yr WOW!! its going to be a huge setup!! I cant wait to see how it progresses. I wish i was closer as i would love to help you build
May 18, 200915 yr Author That's looking fantastic KAZ! Keep on going. Its slow going JB My husband has a foot injury that slows him down and makes it hard for ladder work. And I am trying to acchieve a backlog of leadlight work that piled up while I was sick. We will get there. Â Â The window like areas each side of the double doors will have cartoonic style budgies done in real leadlight in them. The wood you see is temporary to stop any possible budgie escapes from the birdroom while we work. I have a skyblue cock called HOUDINI who escapes the breeder cage any chance he can. He is the father to all my normal skyblueblue and YF skyblue babies in my kindie cage baby topic. Â Edited May 18, 200915 yr by KAZ

June 15, 200915 yr Author Oh goodie!, which part of the day is the aviary gonna benefit with the sun? morning, noon, afternoon? It will depend on what kind of roofing and walls we do. There will also be an area at the fence end far left that will be open roof for sunbathing for the budgies
