Please help.... I checked my chick and he is full of food but it has in air pocket in his crop! I never had this before is he going to be alright?I might be to worried but...please help.

I am no expert and hopefully someone will answer you soon.I have noticed that my babies took in some air when I spoon fed them.Good luck.

I don't know but my chicks also had a 'bubble' in their crops at some time too. They seem to be fine. Someone who knows more will have to tell you. Good Luck

My budgie chicks often get bubbles in their crops and seem fine. I don't know if it is bad or not. But you could try and burp him.

Otherwise. I wouldn't worry too much.

 I can't believe how worried I was, he is fine I just checked on him...his crop fill completely with food and another chick! YAY!

It's okay to be worried Joey. Small air bubbles do appear in the crop, you need to be worried when the air pocket doesn't go away or is swelling the crop.

Nope he is fine... :D Thanks guys

:( Glad to hear that everything worked out. I know you can't compare baby budgies to wild baby birds but they sometimes get air bubbles in their crops as well which is okay. The problem is when they get overfed and get sour crop. :feedbirds:
