Hello everybody!!!

I'm Francesco and I'm writing directy from Italy... exactly from Catania in the East coast of Sicily. I have 14 budgies, 5 lovebirds and 1 Crimson rosella (Joe). What more about myself??? I'm 27 and I'm a translator from English and French into Italian. As I said I live in Sicily but I travel a lot around EU for work. Birds are my only hobby, well it's more than a hobby it's a passion. If you have any question just ask!

PS. sorry if my English is not very fluent and correct-

Ciao

its probably better than mine :D

Welcome aboard :D we would love to see pics of your whole flock when you have a chance.

Welcome and don't worry your english is probably better than mine too.

Have you got any photos of your birds?

Hi Francesco - welcome to the board. I can see you love your birdies. Out of interest, how do you say "budgie" in Italian?

Turbs.

Hi Francesco....happy to see you here. Looking forward to hearing about your birds :D

:D

Hi and welcome to the boards. I hope you enjoy your stay here. We are really looking forward to pictures of all your birds! :D

Hi and Welcome! I'll bet your career is very interesting. I've always admired people who can speak more than one language, as I don't remember much of any foreign language I learned in high school at all!

I hope you enjoy the forums, and if you have any questions about how features work, don't hesitate to ask. And...we do love to see pictures, so any you want to share would be welcomed. :D Just remember that they need to be no larger than 450 x 450 pixels. That helps keep page load times manageable for those that are still on dial-up.

Thank you very much for your welcome... ASAP I'll post some pics of my budgies.

The Italian word for "budgie" is "cocorita" or "pappagallino ondulato"-

;) That's what I am going to tell people, that I have 5 "pappagallino ondulato", ;)

(The word "budgie" does not always generate a lot of interest).

Hi Francesco!

This is the friendliest place on Earth! Enjoy it. There is a lot of useful information as well.

Do you take your birds in your travels around the EU?

No Silver, they're too much... I've my grandmother who takes care of them when i'm not at home.

I just travelled only once with a cockatail by train from Paris to Catania and it was very stressful for him... I'll never repeat such an experience.

Oh I see!

I hope your little friends do not miss you too much. Anyway coming back to them must be exciting!

I'm looking forward to seeing the pics of your flock and hearing more about them. This is a great budgie forum.

  • 1 month later...

I have just come from your wonderful country where I was on a short tour. I am just speechless and I can't speak about Italy here anyway! I just wanted to say that it is a fantastic place for our little friends too! My little daughter who travelled with me was actually sorry we hadn't taken our four budgies on tour to sunny Italy! :fear

Ciao! I don't know much Italian, but welcome!!

A presto,
