Have been MIA for a while now due to work travel and stuff. Wanted to let you know that I posted some pics of my budgies in their winter aviary out on the budgie picture site (gee, with our new posting policy even I can get pics out there!! (Laughing out loud)). Will get some of my macaws and lovies out there soon too

 

Hope all is well in budgie breeding land! Please note that the pics out there right now are from last winter. Of course, winter in So Cal is mostly high winds and 1 or 2 days of rain...but they have a different set up for the summer, and of course the bachelor pad for all those silly boys. I dont think I will be breeding this year based on our last conversations a while back. Definately made up my mind to do more of a rescue than a breeding operation. I so love their little cheerful song in the mornings! My next project is a bigger aviary that is a more permanent structure. Have seen some great outdoor aviaires with double doors that look terrific. Looks like we will be moving in June back to Oregon (holy cow have no idea what I am going to do yet for the babies!!! winters are actually winter there. As I start delving into alternative bird keeping I will post my thoughts for your review. I have had such awesome feedback here
