Can someone tell me the mutation of Aarons Baby. She looks between and apple green and a pale Jade.

Would like to tell her new Owner what she is, before he takes her home

What makes you say that Sailor?

The wings to me look more yellow than black, yet I do see black and not grey markings. The flights look whitish rather than black and the tail is a yellow colour not the normal dark blue.

she is a cutie you can tell them that the yellow face gene will continue to contribute to her "seafoam" type of green and they may see the yellow wash over her body even more. :(

Thanks, seafoam greens sounds nice and yes she does have a yellow wash over her body, and occassionally you can see a tad of blue on her chest, her tail feathers are yellow, and the markings on her wings are not a distinct black more like a dark grey.

I know she is a girl as she has drawn blood since she was in the nest. Poor Aaron's finger was sore for over a week. :) and i have a nice 'love bite' on my nech and a bandaid on several fingers:devil:

Ooh .I didn't see the tail. She has really thick spangle markings and quite a dark head. Perhaps she is melanistic spangle. ?

Whoa! what is a melanistic spangle?

That is a spangle that appears to have normal wing markings but the clear spangle tail. :)

She looks like a type2 yellowface skyblue to me. I don't see any spangle. To me it looks like the longest tailfeathers haven't grown out yet, or have fallen out for some reason as the yellow feathers on the tail look like the shorter ones and not the center ones. That coloring on those feathers for a type2 would be normal. She is a beautiful color. Any chance we could have a closer picture? :)

I see too much yellow for melanistic spangle to match.

Rainbow - it states baby at the top and so I believe that is just the shorten tail of a young budgie before it's first moult.

Look at the one on the left of the picture (half cut out) those wings look normal to me and are very dark compared to this one.

i can deffinetly see the spangle in the baby and agree with nerwen
