February 7, 200718 yr Author What a great looking bunch of kids Karen, as always, and the photos are great. Is this lot part of your controlled breeding program? These ones were bred in a small aviary with only one other breeding pair. The last of my "colony breeding" pairs. Those two pairs are okay together, so I let them go a 2nd clutch each ...after this all breeding in the future in breeder cages as I have set up already. I have about 26 breeder cages going right now, both pet and show types. The majority of my budgies are on holidays Very nice bubs. Are the more an olive colour? (the green ones) on screen they look a lot like grey-greens. Yes...the green is an olive colour just like dad and they were in the last batch of babies too. Sadie and Slick have such beautiful babies and they are all so different Well done Bubbles!!! Thanks Anna. I love the pieds. The babies always come out healthy and fly right from the start. The feathering on the pieds is far more silky and fine too.
February 7, 200718 yr they are all so beautiful. How about Simone for the girl, just came to me when I looked at her photo.Love all of them.

February 8, 200718 yr Author Can you maybe put that egg under another hen....???? :ausb: That baby is sooooo cute!!!!! Yes I will use her eggs. Once the last baby fledges I will foster her eggs and she can have a holiday Should only be a couple of days or about 3 eggs .........or I may move the last baby out and open the nestbox door so she wont lay any more eggs. :oliveb: Names, am very tired but shall try, Sully, Sally, Lucas, Georgia, Gaslight, Gus, Pilot, Astronaut, Starshine, Space Cadet (maybe just Cadet and Spacey), Lightning, Lustrous, Featherball, Exotic, Eugene, Divine, Priscilla, Randy, Songstress, Simon, Paula, Panda, Creeper, Singer, Kelly, Shania, Burton, Cummings, Mozart, Page, Paige, Buffy, Bijou, Buchanan, Stevie, Boston, Aerosmith, Barry, Robin, Turner, Bachman, April, and I am done....................... February 8, 200718 yr Oh those recessive pieds just love them but completely out of reach the "bubbles recessive pied bunch" I love the names picked.
February 9, 200718 yr Author Last one SMUDGE ( named by Rainbow ) is out of the nest. Already getting into trouble too He ( he, I think ) or she decided to find the only way into the seed dispenser and was discovered sitting in there peering through the perspex window Mum is about to lay her second egg ( round 3 ) , after which I will put her in a holding cage to "regroup" before going back into the aviary. Remove nestbox, foster her two eggs to another hen, and let Dad finish raising the babies. As all four babies are fledged there isnt much more he has to do apart from show them where the food is.
