February 1, 200718 yr Wish I could help out.... am a bit surprised that noone else has tried answering this though.
February 1, 200718 yr your male looks like a yellow face type 2 . l'm not quite sure of what type the female is . would you be able to describe what both of their colours looks like to you ? do she have an iris ring in her eyes ? does she have red eyes ? Edited February 1, 200718 yr by birdluv
February 2, 200718 yr the female has a clear eye the mail does have a eye ring n the female is white with baby blue on its chest is this enough or you need more description just ask me what ever guys want i wil ltell but please help
February 2, 200718 yr The female is some sort of pied mutation. It is hard to tell she could be a mix of the two. I would say either a DF or a SF dominant pied as well as a clear flight pied. Due to her lack of markings on the wing. But then she could also just be a recessive pied. If she has no iris rings then she is a recessive pied. If she has two iris rings then she is SF Dom pied. If she has one iris ring and one eye without an iris ring she is a DF dom pied. If she is SF dominant pied half of the babies will be SF dominant pied. If she is DF dominant pied, all of the babies wil be SF dominant pied. If she is recessive pied then depending on whether the male carries that gene, half or no babies will be recessive pied. It is hard to tell from the picture, but is your male green or yellowface blue? Either way, your girl budgie is gorgeous. I saw a male like her in the petshop and I so wanted him. February 2, 200718 yr my male budgie is green and thanks for the help but i dont know about mutation ex recessive pied etc. i was expectiing u to tell me the colors of the babies if you could.
February 3, 200718 yr The babies will more than likely be green, unles your green male had 1 or more blue parents- that would give him a chance to carry the blue gene. If he didn't inherit any blue gene from either parents then they will be green. It might take 2 or 3 clutches for the blue gene to show in the babies. I would expect all greens with any other colour a bonus if it showed up
February 3, 200718 yr :ausb: Flyer, I would think that the reason that people are not replying to your breeding questions is that they don't think you are in a position to breed (not being a breeder myself, I cannot help), but based on previous posts. I would truly examine the health of your birds, your reasons for breeding, the expected outcome and then you can see why the general membership is not replying to your posts as silence in itself says something. Maybe somewhere down the road, but for you at this time, better you keep your budgies as pets and not venture into breeding. :greenb:
February 5, 200718 yr wow all greens no other colors ???? what about the female won't the babies also be like her ?? or all like the father??
February 5, 200718 yr Your female looks to be rec. pied. You will only get rec. pied if your male is split for it.
February 6, 200718 yr You may get half green and half blue babies. But look at my first post, as I told you what kind of pied babies you will get.
