Thanks guys,all the sleepless nights are worth it when you see their precious little faces and see how beautiful they are becoming.

Pie has a new nickname Piggy as it will eat and eat until it is so full that when you pick it up the food comes back up.I have to watch how much I feed it.Pie will just beg for food all day and night.

Here are some new photos of the gang.JJ is growing fast with lots of yellow feathers getting longer every day.JJ also thinks its as big as the other two and gets out of the nesting box to sit on the branch and

flaps its wings too.

Here is sonrisa(back) and pie,most of their feathers that were plucked are growing back now.Pie has the fluffiest head and big round eyes.Do you guys think Pie might be a boy?

Oh that was nice.

Sonrisa is eating seed every day now and doesn't want as much handrearing formula,she does like it for breakfast though.

Hi FGM not too conserning but it looks like JJ has been playfully plucked. I would have expected more down feathers. The hen is problibly doing it. I would increase the protien and calcium and keep an eye on him.

 

There are feathers maturing and areas of no feathers.

 

How old is he

Well guys Sonrisa has flown for the first time yesterday arfternoon.Here are the photos of her first big flight.

She eventually landed on my daughters head.

And her she is walking towards me after the fight.It was the cutest thing,like she was coming to tell me all about it.

She is cute and looks very proud in the last photo

Hi FGM I use Passwells Budgie starter in my softfoods. But at the very worst use egg and biscuit and mix with grated carrot to make a crumbly mixture. give 2 table spoons per breeding pair per day. This is better than nothing.

Well the babies are growing up fast.Sonrisa is eating seed by herself now and has been spending her days in the aviary.

Pie is trying to fly but can't stay in the air and plonks to the ground.I think he/she wieghs too much as its a bit of a pig when it comes to food.Think I might find this one tough to start eating seed,seems to enjoy the formula too much,pictured here with JJ.

JJ is a real character and likes to think he can fly and do all the things the bigger birds do.I came home today to find him perched next to Pie on the perch.It was so cute.Here they are trying to get out to me and the food.

Sonrisa spent the night in the aviary and she even flew away from me when I put my hand up.The spoon grabbed attention though and she ate a small amount of rearing formula,gave me some kisses then off she went to make angry budgie noises at all of them.I don't think I have any worries about her in there she is even bossing the boss around.
