Are alfalfa sprouts okay for budgies to eat. They sort of look like seedlings from budgie seed mix.

yes they are fine and the bird seem to love them, i buy mine when they are on special for 20 cents at the super market i also buy the mung beans.

l will have to try alfalfa sprouts on my budgies , l just never thought of it before

The only problem I could see with alfalfa sprouts is being able to wash them well enough. Just be sure to rinse them *really* well because they can harbor bacteria as well as any chemical that was used in growing them.

My only problem with sprouts is that they seem to go "slimey" so fast.
