Thank you so much for the pictures. S/he is going to be stunning once fully grown.

S/he is so cute. Love the cock bird in your second pair.

Awww, pretty baby... :D

can't wait to see how the other chicks turn out. :)

Very cute, I can't wait to see some pics when she/he is bigger :hap:

aww.. look at the little ear.... :) Your other pair are both stunning

Thanks , I am beginning to favour Pieds atm , they seem to be particularly catching my eye . and the cross violet should yield some interesting results further down the line . That particular pied I bought from a breeder who won a few trophies at Doncaster last year . I don't know the lineage so it will be interesting to see what pops up

He looks like a clearflight pied to me

Never even crossed my mind , I found this quote on the net

"The Clearflighted Pied characteristic is that the flights and tail should be clear and the bird should have a clear head patch, which varies in size. All other markings, such as spots, cheek patches, beak, feet and body marking and colour is as per the normal variety."

I checked and sure enough is tail feathers are also clear , underneath the smaller feathers are darker though but the main flights and tail are all white , in terms of what this means for the young , I have no idea , not dealt with a clearflight before :P

Another picture , does'nt show all his tail but the start of it you can see those feathers .

Cheers

Aww, what an adorable baby!

They are both beautiful birds, Nodders. They both have nice deep masks. I think you are correct that he is a clearflight pied. Sometimes they are called Dutch dominant pieds. The hen is lovely to look at. I imagine you will get some very nice birds from them.

And the baby pictures just melt my heart.
